The modern vaping world is filled with choices. From sleek pod systems to mighty box mods, minimalist vape pens to sophisticated squonk mods, the options are limitless for those embarking on their vaping journey. Let’s unravel some of the most popular types of vape devices available in the market.

1) Vape Pens: These are the second generation of vaping devices, evolving from the first gen ‘cig-a-like’ models. Vape pens are compact, cylindrical devices that mirror the feel and look of regular cigarettes, offering a good middle ground between effectiveness and ease-of-use. They usually consist of a clearomizer-style tank and offer better battery life than the basic models. Vape pens are great for those transitioning from smoking to vaping.

2) Box Mods: As the name suggests, these devices get their name from their box-like shape. They’re typically more complex than vape pens, offering features such as variable power and temperature control mods. Box mods provide extended battery life, integrated safety protections, and a higher power range.

3) Pod Systems: Pod systems, or pod vapes, are the latest generation of vaping devices. They are super compact, making them very portable. The pod systems utilize vessels (or pods) that serve as both the e-liquid reservoir and the coil, making them extremely user-friendly.

4) Disposable Vapes: These are simple, easy-to-use devices with no replaceable parts. As the name suggests, disposable vapes are intended for one-time use, making them a convenient choice for beginners or as a backup device.

5) Mechanical Mods: Mechanical mods, or mech mods, are a niche product for advanced vapers who understand Ohm’s law and battery safety. They do not feature circuitry or safety protections and rely on the user’s knowledge for safe use. Mech mods can be powerful but risky, so they’re not for the casual vaper.

6) Sub-Ohm Tanks: Sub-ohm tanks are vape tanks designed for low resistance coils (below 1 Ohm). They are compatible with high power outputs, offering a richer flavor and massive cloud production.

7) Rebuildable Drip Atomizers (RDAs): RDAs are for the tinkerers. They allow the vaper to build their own coils depending on their preference. Rebuildable drip atomizers provide the best flavor and vapor output, making them popular with seasoned vapers.

8) Temperature Control Mods: These mods allow you to adjust the temperature of the coil, preventing dry hits and potential damage to your device. The Temperature Control mods require the use of Nickel, Titanium, or Stainless Steel coils.

9) Squonk Mods: Squonk mods are generally box mods that have a bottle of e-juice inside of it, with a hole in the mod’s body for feeding e-juice into an atomizer. They’re termed as ‘bottom-feeding devices’ because the liquid is fed upwards into the atomizer. For those who love RDAs but hate refilling them, squonk mods are a great solution.

10) Closed System Devices: These devices use tanks or pods that are pre-filled with e-liquid. They’re simple to use, convenient, and perfect for those who don’t want the mess and hassle of refilling their own tanks.

Given the diverse and wide range of vaping equipment, it’s essential to understand what kind of vaping experience you want. Each type offers a unique vaping experience and comes with their own pros and cons. As always, safety should always be your top concern no matter what device you choose. Happy vaping!
